DC-02 & DC-03 Sanitary Relief

DC-02 & DC-03 Sanitary Relief

As a sub-consultant to Parsons, IDCS provided electrical design as well as instrumentation and control design for the tunnel diversion structure installed under the DC-02 & DC-03 Sanitary Relief (Brentwood Blvd to Conway Rd) Phase I contract. The DC-02 & DC-03 diversion structure (also known as the Pendleton diversion structure) was designed to divert flow from the trunk sewer to the Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel during storm events.

IDCS designed the incoming power to the diversion structure as well as coordinated with the electrical utility, Ameren, for location of power sources and installation criteria specific to the site. IDCS coordinated the installation of the instrumentation and controls. As an added piece of the design, IDCS coordinated the installation of conduits and hand-holes for the future flow monitoring that MSD will install along the tunnel system.
