IDCS was responsible for providing the design of the Electrical Distribution and Lighting Systems for a new Firefighter Simulator Building for the City of Chicago at the O'Hare International Airport. The building was approximately 3,000 square feet and included an 18' high simulator area.
IDCS worked as a sub-consultant to SpecPro for power studies for an Air Force base located in Minot North Dakota. Utilizing SKM software IDCS completed a short circuit study which included over 300 bus points from the incoming service entrance to the panelboard distribution level.
The Albany Park Stormwater Diversion Tunnel project consists of a 5700 foot long 18 foot finished diameter rock tunnel located beneath Foster Avenue in the City of Chicago. This tunnel will divert excess stormwater from the North Branch of the Chicago River (NBCR) to the North Shore Channel (NSC). IDCS was responsible for all power, lighting, and security camera design for the pump station and the inlet, as well as the control design which needed to be coordinated between both the City of Chicago Department of Transportation and MWRDGC.
IDCS will be responsible for the preliminary and detailed design of certain components of the Des Plaines Inflow Tunnel.
IDCS was a sub-consultant on the City of Evanston Water Utility electrical hazard assessment. The project included the assessment of the entire water treatment facility, and furnishing the required field markings (labels) for the electrical distribution equipment.
IDCS completed the Electrical and Instrumentation design for a new wastewater treatment facility for the treatment of contaminated groundwater, as well as the associated new Administration and Maintenance Buildings.

IDCS designed the replacement of the existing positive displacement pumps with new rotary lobe pumps with variable frequency drives (VFDs). The system included a new seal water system, sludge flow meter, and suction and discharge pipe line protection.
The Salt Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility was expanded. The instrumentation and electrical systems were designed by IDCS. The existing incoming primary and emergency power sources were evaluated for compliance with the 10 States Standards and recommendations were made for the required upgrades to the existing system.
